YEA has received numerous awards and honors, including the 2008 “Coming Up Taller” award from the President’s Committee for the Arts and Humanities, the 1997 Mayor’s Recognition of Youth Arts Development Program, and Atlanta Magazine’s “Best of Atlanta” 1997 and 2002. YEA has also been featured in Parade Magazine and Southern Living Magazine. YEA is a Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund grantee. YEA is also the recipient of the inaugural Neighborhood Builder’s Award (a $200,000 grant) from the Bank of America Foundation Neighborhood Excellence Initiative, as well as a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
